The searchable collection contains over 4,500 objects related to Sri Lanka, most of which have been photographed. Many of these items can also be found by using the keyword “Ceylon”. About half of the entries come from the Hugh Nevill collection. Unique strengths of the collection include armlets, combs, earrings, necklaces, rings and other beautification accouterments, betel equipment, dance masks, everyday tools and utensils, various boxes and containers, painted fans, and Buddhist statuary from the fifth through nineteenth centuries. Images can be freely downloaded for non-commercial use.
