A digital library that provides a searchable database for over 14 million digitized books from various universities. For users accessing the database from the United States, the full text of most books published before 1927 is available. For other users, full-text availability for pre-1927 imprints is restricted for works not published in the United States. Full text is available only for books published before 1902 in Canada and for books published before 1897 in other countries. Books that are not available in full text are linked to WorldCat to show their locations in physical libraries, and they can still be searched for keywords and corresponding page numbers. The Hathi Trust catalogue has various advanced search filters including date, language, place of publication, etc. For fully viewable books in Sinhala and Tamil published in Sri Lanka, the library is strong in religious texts, especially Bible translations. It also has a useful collection of law reports and other legal reference works from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
