Lionel Wendt Collections

These collections have been digitized by the Lionel Wendt Centre for the Arts. The site contains four featured collections which include over 400 photographs taken by Wendt, over 20 twentieth-century Sri Lankan paintings owned by Wendt, two sculptures by Tissa Ranasinghe from Wendt’s collection, and The William Mackie Collection, including mementos and ephemera related to Wendt collected by his Aunt Gladys Forbes. In addition to these collections, the site holds related materials from the Colombo Museum Library, old theater posters and programs from the Lionel Wendt Art Center, as well as digitized publications by and about Wendt from Leica News and Marg Magazine.
