The library covers economics, development, and the post-independence politics of Sri Lanka, particularly in the last three decades of the twentieth century. It has special strengths in studies of development projects in the 1980s, labour, and infrastructure. It is the World Bank depository library in Sri Lanka. Rare books in the Sri Lanka collection includes books and reports in the field of economic development policy in Sri Lanka and biographies of Sri Lankan personalities. There is also a separate collection of CDs on diverse subjects.
