Ministry of Defence Digital Library
This digital library contains books and research papers about the Sri Lankan air force and military, authored by current and former officers. The site also includes several dozen books, most of which are in English, from the Colombo Public Library. The richest section of books is classified under “History,” with an eclectic assortment of volumes, including various nineteenth-century copies of The Ceylon Calendar and The Ceylon Almanac, books on plants, insects, and birds, a history of public works, commission reports, books about plantations, pamphlets with digests of legal cases, biographies of lawyers, a handbook from the 1942 Kandy Food Exhibition, and a catalogue of bronze statues in the Colombo Museum. The site also has links to research papers and publications of the Open University of Sri Lanka and University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
