Museum of Memory and Coexistence
This virtual museum was founded in 2020 by the International Centre for Ethnic Studies in Colombo. It is dedicated to exploring histories of cultural exchange and conflict, postwar memories, and possibilities for reconciliation in Sri Lanka. The exhibitions include original art, photography, short films, ethnographic interviews, and archival excerpts. These materials are used to shed light on a wide variety of topics, including religious architecture, displaced peoples, ethnic violence, and visions of pluralistic society.
