The archives of the Oblate Scholasticate have extensive holdings on the history of Catholicism in Sri Lanka from the mid-nineteenth century though the end of the twentieth century, with an emphasis on the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The collection includes letters, publications and papers of prominent Oblates, early Sinhala and Tamil translations of the Bible and other missionary material, an extensive collection of photographs, and a stamp collection covering the 1950s through the 1990s. Some of the nineteenth century correspondence is in French.
